Hello and welcome to our practice! I’m a licensed psychologist that has been born and raised in California. I’ve spent time in various part of this state from up North in the Bay Area, central California, and further south including Los Angeles and San Diego. I received my Bachelors from the University of California, Merced with a double major in Psychology and Cognitive Science. I skipped my Master’s Degree to pursue my doctorate which I have with a background in Clinical Forensic Psychology. I’ve worked with a range of age-groups and demographics including adolescents on the spectrum with special needs, adults with varying mood disorders, psychosis, and trauma, as well as our incarcerated population. I’m well versed in addressing substance abuse as I worked in an outpatient rehabilitation program, focusing on dual diagnosis patients as well. If you’re struggling with it, there’s a good chance we can work through it together! You’re not the first person to be going through what you’re going through, you won’t be the last, and most importantly, you’re not alone. I decided early on that I wanted to get into this field initially for my own curiosity only to find out that it is so much more rewarding to help people and watch them grow, develop insight, and become more self-aware individuals. Watching that light-bulb flick on when my clients have their “Ah-ha” moment is what drives me to do the work I do.
Therapy is not easy. It’s not a walk in the park (if it was, everyone would be therapists and we would all be perfect). Often times we have to explore and go down a path of ourselves that we do not like in order to become stronger. It’s take a lot of strength to initiate going down that road.
